It’s probably not the best idea to start a post with the words “we’re ashamed,” but these are truly the feelings that arise within us. Why? Because for over a year, we haven’t published any feature on our website. We’ve kept things up-to-date on Instagram, but that space, the “home” for our photos, has recently been empty.
Why did this happen? Well, 2021 threw us off course, both in positive and less positive ways. On one hand, it was abundant with beautiful, truly spectacular weddings, but on the other hand, due to the accumulation of postponed, “post-pandemic” weddings, we practically lost track of time, got caught in a whirlwind, and worked as much and as intensely as never before. Such stories apply to our entire wedding industry, which felt the impact of this accumulation strongly last year.
Therefore, in the midst of the 2022 wedding season, we’d like to catch up a bit and share more broadly the stories we’ve only briefly mentioned, the ones we’ve been photographic witnesses to. And there’s a lot to tell, because there was no shortage of tears of emotion, liters of champagne, and moving words during the speeches.
We’re returning to 2021 with a bang, arguably the most beautiful wedding of the past year, one whose atmosphere, music, and human energy cannot be forgotten. So, settle comfortably in our “malachite airplane” as we fly to Tuscany, to its heart, the Chianti region, known for its wonderful red wines. Imagine it’s September, the scorching heat is gone, and the orange sun gently caresses your face. You can smell the freshly prepared pizza & pasta all around, and from the speakers, old Italian classics and new French tunes alternate.
You’re at the wedding of Anna and Nicola, who flew straight to Tuscany from Paris, where they live, and where Nicola runs his wine atelier. Nicola is Italian, and there’s no doubt that the fiery character of him and his family was felt at the reception from the very beginning. Seriously, just as Italians dance to the Tarantella, a traditional, highly rhythmic Italian dance, no one else dances like them, to nothing else. It’s a wonderful experience to watch them and envy their vigor and sense of rhythm.
We could talk about them for a long time because they charmed us with their personalities, but also with how beautifully they prepared everything. Instead of telling you with words, we’ll do what we do best: we’ll tell it with photos. Enjoy!
