Outdoor Wedding at Villa Love
This is the first post we’re making to show you a wedding from 2020. We won’t reveal anything new by saying that it was the strangest wedding season we’ve ever experienced. At first, it wasn’t supposed to happen at all – some even thought we’d go back to the 1990s. Then it was planned, but with 3-4 small parties without much fanfare.
But what we’re showing you now is an explosion of joy, love, and the beauty of the year 2020. So, it’s July 25th, the world is still somewhat closed, but it doesn’t matter: near Krakow, you have little Italy, specifically Tuscany, as far as the eye can see. Villa Love is a magical border point. You enter and find yourself in the capital of Prosecco, pizza, and dancing under the stars. We arrive at the Villa, and there, in the gazebo, as if nothing special, a beautiful, smiling girl is swinging. And we say to ourselves, “Pinch me, because I must be dreaming a pandemic dream,” and it turns out it’s entirely real. She waves at us, her bridesmaids appear (the best of the best, a team you’d steal a horse with), handsome gentlemen march with whisky in hand, Villa Love is immersed in greenery, the temperature’s around 30 degrees, and it’s the Wedding Day. And the Italian charm continues: they get married under the open sky, it’s splendid, tears in their eyes, and sweat on their foreheads. The Italian theme continues later with Skip Art, mixing Italo disco with a touch of techno (yes, it’s possible). They love each other like crazy, you can tell they’ve had some wild parties because the dance floor is on fire, not just from the golden confetti but from their energy as well. They give us a hit that accompanies us for the rest of the season (for the initiated), and in the end, they chase away the rain to dance on the terrace near the cake and cold fires (what cold fires, everything’s hot with them).
Our season unexpectedly and prematurely ended three days ago. It was like a strong, aromatic Italian espresso. Short but impactful. Marcelina and Marcin’s wedding was just like a delicious coffee and Italy – our little addiction, as we’ve emphasized many times – we’re addicted to weddings, love, and energy (all provided on that day), and nothing will stop us from counting the days until the 2021 season (we’ll ask for a larger Americano, because espresso is a bit too small, or a double espresso-sized cappuccino, 2021, prego).
M&M, thank you for this day; you have no idea how deeply it’s imprinted in us, and how grateful we are in this Anno Domini 2020 that it happened, that you were there, that we were with you, and that these photos were created, which we present below.
