I know we’ve said it several times already, but 2020 is truly the strangest year in our history, and it has this unique function of “updating” itself from month to month, surprising us even more. Today, in mid-December, as I write this post, it feels surreal that just under 3 months ago, we were in a different reality, photographing beautiful weddings in Italy, enjoying pizza and wine until the late hours of the night, with smiles from ear to ear, unobscured by anything.
Today, things are a bit different in every aspect, so we’re taking you to Tuscany, to a joyful, intimate wedding with the scent of olives and cicadas in the background. What do we associate with Tuscany? Wine, cypresses, muted greenery in autumn, olives, and sunshine. Everything fits, except the last one. At the end of September, instead of sunny Tuscany, fate gave us a rainy, somewhat nostalgic version, one we hadn’t experienced before, and let me assure you: this Tuscany also enchants and stays in the memory for a long time.
So, it’s September, a Tuscan agriturismo, Kamila and Kamil – because it’s important to match not only in character but also in names. We have the four of them, a Fiat 500 (because she loves that car and associates it with the best Italian vacations), and we have Asia from Ślub w Toskanii (Tuscany Wedding), who helps everyone organize a fantastic wedding in Italy. There’s also a pool, prosecco, and an abundance, seriously, an abundance of delicious Tuscan food. If there’s a place where you can eat yourself to death, Italy is that place for us.
We felt a great affinity for Kamila and Kamil from the first phone calls, especially during the pandemic, in April, when we asked them with trembling voices: “Are we going?” and they joyfully and confidently yelled into the receiver: “Of course, we’re going, there’s plenty of time until September.” They did everything wonderfully – with love, ease, joy, and hope. Observing people who believe in their plans, draw satisfaction and strength from them, is an almost cosmic energy, and every time we appreciate what we do in life and the people we meet on our journey.
To keep it short, take a look at the photos to see how they envisioned their Dolce Vita wedding, full of greenery, laughter, and delicious prosecco.
